Camp Chef Hike

After several camping trips with Outerthere, Trip Host Jeanine realized that a “camp chef” class was needed to help beginners feel more confident making meals when they’re camping.

And so, she came up with the Camp Chef Hike Series, which will run through the rest of 2023 on different backcountry cooking skills.

For her first hike, she selected a tried and true gem of a trail in Harriman Park with epic views of Tuxedo.

And despite the weekend’s rain and breezy breeze, guests were super excited to learn a super handy new skill. Bonus, they got to eat what chef Jeanine prepared.

Besides cooking, Trip Host Jeanine also reviewed trail safety, fire safety, cooking safety and some foraging.
